Fresh New Shorts marks another milestone with this episode–inviting other award-winning writers to share their short story podcasts. Today’s episode, Tender Fruit, is by Deepam Susan Wadds.
Ms Wadds won The Writers’ Union of Canada short story competition for 2016 with Tender Fruit. Her short story resonates today as people make difficult decisions about their small businesses and passions which they’ve pursued up.
The Writers’ Union jury said, “There’s gorgeous writing here, especially the human imagery to describe the peach trees that Ditch and Allie must destroy.”
